Biscuit was founded in 2015 by Amanda Mitchell, who with years of experience as a department store buyer behind her, ventured out on her own with the aim of providing a beautiful and welcoming environment in which "you can always pick up something that inspires you. This could be something to wear, something to give or something that you now need. The perfect eclectic mix of clothing and living, under one roof".
Opening at 22 Thistle Street in Edinburgh's trendy New Town, Amanda began doing just that, handpicking and sourcing designers and products to suit the modern woman. If you were to ask her "So what is Biscuit?" her reply would be, "Somewhere to come and buy a pretty top to wear for a Saturday night at a friends dinner party and while you are there why not pick up the perfect present for the hostess!"
She believes that since we all lead busy lives, often juggling a hectic work and home life, that many of us just don't have the time to shop for clothes. However, lets face it, we do want to look good. So Biscuit looks to provide something different and uncomplicated in a friendly and warm environment. Whether it is a beautifully well cut dress for work, a Saturday night top or a stunning cashmere jumper, we are always on hand to give style advice and help you find exactly what you are looking for.
After the huge success of the Thistle Street store Biscuit opened it's second Edinburgh space in May 2017 on Bruntsfield Place, transforming an old corner shop in the ever popular neighbourhood that is Bruntsfield.
In July 2020 after a much anticipation the third Biscuit store opened at 135 Hyndland Road in Glasgow's West End. What was a dry cleaners has now been transformed into a bright and airy space which is filled with new brands such as Pink City Prints, Berenice and DL1961 denim alongside firm Biscuit favourites Stine Goya, American Vintage and Bellerose.
The Biscuit brand continues to grow with our website reaching all over the world, deliveries are frequently shipped globally from Australia to Canada and everywhere in between.
