What to Expect
Autumn's Hero Layers
1. Long Sleeved T-Shirt
Our favourite, and often first layer throughout Autumn. A classic long sleeved t-shirt is a hardworking staple in your wardrobe, whether hidden beneath layers of knitwear or used as a warm statement element peeking out from a sleeveless gilet or blazer - Think the timeless breton stripe or slubbed cotton sonoma.
When picking this layer we are always looking at fabric and handle - ideally something soft and gentle against the skin and neutral enough to go with blazers and gilets. It is also worth considering how thick you want this layer - if planning to wear beneath something sleeveless, perhaps thicker is better, whilst beneath blazers, knits and dresses, you may want to opt for warmth without any added bulk. Here are our favourite options either way:

2. Autumn Knitwear
A classic knit is always worth the investment and for Autumn this is no different! From classic crew neck jumpers to cardigans and roll necks, these cosy layers will keep you warm year-round - whether worn, draped across your shoulders, or tied around your waist.
How to ensure your knit lasts the test of time:
- Forget trends - classic shapes and silhouettes will undoubtedly last far longer in your wardrobe
- Stick to neutral tones and blocked colours and stripes to ensure maximum wearability - these are sure to work with the majority of your wardrobe - from classic denim to silk skirts and tailored pieces.
- Pay attention to composition - if you can, it is always worth investing a little more into knitwear with a higher wool content - these wash and wear better over time.
- Pay close attention to the care of your garment and never hang your knitwear!
"simple knits and easy shirts will ALL WORK HARD FOR YOU, while statement accessories will give your look a new-season edge."
3. Coats & Jackets
Beat the chill in style with our new in autumn coats and jackets. From sleeveless wonders, to reversible options, there is plenty to feast your eye upon this season.
Always looking to maximise what we have, a great coat will serve you well throughout the colder months, but we want to look at practicality (withstanding wet and windy weather) as well as more formal options. Our top styles for versatility are:
- Trench Coats - an enduring classic for good reason, these are great come rain or shine and slot well into both the smart and casual brackets
- Blazer - a versatile option that you will get wear out of year-round. Perfect for layering over knits and blouses as well as over your shoulders when wearing dresses.
- Padded Jackets - A far more casual option but one that will serve you well throughout the wetter months of the year or running out in the bitter cold!
- Sleeveless - Perfect whilst Autumn is still on the cusp as can be layered over light blouses and knits, but will serve you well in the depths of winter over thick knits and hooded sweaters as well as beneath coats.
- Wool Coat - The perfect all-rounder, keeps you warm and cosy, can be dressed up or down!

Autumn's Hero Denim
Without a doubt the hardest working piece in your wardrobe - the denim jean. A favourite all year round, denim really comes into it's own in the months of Autumn - we love a good shirt and dress too (more on that later). With darker washes and bolder shapes, it's always fun to find your fit!
Whether dressed up for a day in the office with heels and a silk shirt, or worn slouchy with a relaxed knit and trainers, we can guarantee that you will find something that works for you from our selection.
Brands to keep an eye on:
- Mos Mosh - a denim brand that also does incredible tailored pieces and knitwear, mos mosh designs flattering cuts and shapes that customers love season after season - styles like Colette (pictured), as well as Reem, Andi and Dara have become iconic amongst the Mos Mosh customer. As a brand their denim is generous, with customers advised to size down for the perfect fit.
- Seventy + Mochi - a younger brand that has really carved a niche for itself in the denim category - with classic washes combined with standout pinks, greens and lilacs, this is a brand well worth your attention - their iconic pablo jackets are a sell-out season after season!
- Ichi - You can't get much more affordable than Ichi. Covering all bases with wide to straight leg, these jeans wash well, and more importantly, look the part!

5. Skirts
Far from packing our skirts away during the Autumn months, we embrace these light layers, pairing them with chunky socks and boots as well as tights and knitwear for an on-trend look.
6. Trousers
It's natural to want to reach for trousers when the weather turns - that comforting warm layer is such an easy element, and with the variety of styles and fits out there, it is easy to find a pair that work for you.
A style we are seeing everywhere this Autumn season is the wide cropped fit. A flattering cut that can be dressed up with heels or paired with boots or trainers throughout the year. The Part Two Ilisan Trousers fit the bill perfectly and are available in a number of colours and patterns - from check to stripe.
If you prefer a longer length, you can't go wrong with Bellerose Volker trousers - a wide leg cut with an incredibly soft drape which makes them perfect for all occasions. Or for extra warmth, shop corduroy styles from the likes of American Vintage.
7. Demin Dress
Did we say how much we love denim? A slightly odd choice for some but we love the idea of a denim dress throughout the year - particularly one as stunning as this slouchy option from Part Two. In a darker wash and with an open neckline, collar and long sleeves, this relaxed option can be worn as is, or layered over you favourite blouse or long sleeved t-shirts as discussed earlier.
Pair with a pair of Moi London's mary-jane shoes whilst the weather plays nice, or with loafers or chunky boots and socks for a slightly grungier edge this Autumn.
If denim isn't your thing, another option in an equally warm and thick fabric would be the Part Two Lizandra Dress in Corduroy:
