The Summer is fast approaching and we cannot wait to get back to eating outside in the garden. There is something so magical about a Summer lunch lasting long into the evening as dusk falls.

We're taking inspiration from Instagram on pretty table settings and taking tips from British influencer Alice Naylor-Leyland, who has us swooning over her colourful tablescapes and her vintage inspired tableware.

Alice's top tips for table decor

1. "Tie a coloured ribbon round a napkin or change your candlesticks from green to pink. It’s all these little things that don’t necessarily cost too much but simply lift the table."

2. "I love using coloured water glasses to pop any tablescape"

3. "Ferns, herbs and even lemons make for a magnificent arrangement and not only do they last a long time, they don’t cost a bomb."

4. "Balloons! I love using these as another way to add that extra layer to your table and room, they really enhance the 'party feel’ while also providing great height and atmosphere"

5. "When arranging your vases height is crucial so try and have a mix of small and tall bud vases. If you’re thinking real drama I love a high floral arrangement in the centre of your table to wow your guests."
