Ways to Wear... Sweatshirts
Sweatshirts are unquestionably the staple item for keeping warm and cosy this lockdown season. Whether we’re lounging around the house to making the most of a fresh outdoor walk, here's some tips and tricks for making the most of a sweatshirt in an outfit.
Firstly, a sweatshirt paired with some joggers will be the most stylish way of keeping it comfy, as well as a way. of still looking relaxed and put together when leaving the house.
Hoff Chicago Trainers (£99), Ragdoll Black Terry Sweatshirt (£150), Part Two Hydda White Vest (£18.95), Ragdoll Black Jogger Bottoms (£130), Beck Sondergaard Black Hairband (£19), Part Two Hamda Green Sunglasses (£29.95), Yaya Silver Twisted Cuff Bracelet (£22).
Other ways I love to wear a sweatshirt is over midi dresses. It is the perfect way to make smarter dresses in our wardrobes more wearable casual. I also love that sweatshirts can add layers of warmth allowing us to get those dresses out and start feeling summery!!!
Yaya Silver Beaded Bracelet (£22), Treats Serena Navy Croc Bag (£99), Air and Grace Roxy Silver Glitter Trainers (£159), American Vintage Baetown Grey Sweatshirt (£110), Moliin Curly Ditsy Floral Dress (£180).
But how can I add a sweatshirt into my more formal work wardrobe? Well slip it under your blazers as well as over your dresses…
Cocouture Oversized Pink Cord Blazer (£175), Beck Sondergaard Apalis Yellow Hairband (£36), Scotch and Soda Hooded Lemon Sweatshirt (£120), Yaya Silver Large Double Hoop Earrings (£22), Maison Anje Irena Printed Maxi Dress (£125).
In addition to dresses I love to pair a sweatshirt with a wide leg patterned trouser. This gives a relaxed fit but also smarter and more thought out look that could easily be worn casually to more formal occasions.
Scotch and Soda Printed Wide Leg Trousers (£130), Hoff Soho Trainers (£115), American Vintage Ikatown Carbon Hoodie (£115), MDK Seattle Black Leather Jacket (£350), Yaya Gold Hoop Stone Earrings (£22).
Finally, I love to wear a good blouse. One of the best ways to wear my favourite blouses is to add a complimenting sweatshirt on top, this allows a peak of the collar to pop out from under the sweatshirt and add pattern, colour and sophistication.
