In the upturned world we currently find ourselves in there's never been a more important time to practice some self care. Whether that's taking time out to do some yoga at home during this period of social distancing or enjoying a peaceful dog walk (#isolationwalk is now trending on social media!)
For us self care starts at home and we feel that surrounding yourself in calm is just the ticket. Light a candle, have a bath or wrap up cosy on the sofa with a book.
British brand Plum and Ashby use natural soy to create their best selling scented candles.
Relax in a warm bath filled with Plum and Ashby's natural bath salts which come in a variety of scents including lavender, wild fig and seaweed and samphire.
We don't know about you but our hands have taken a hit with the constant 20 second washing so we are using Plum and Ashby's hand washes and lotions to keep our hands hydrated and silky soft. On average we are now washing our hands 20 times a day but thanks to the natural oils found in these products we are able to re hydrate.
Wrap up in cashmere as there's nothing quite comparable to a pair cashmere bed socks or an oversized cardigan.
Going out is the new staying in after all so start a new Netflix series and relax under blanket or throw.
If you can shop small, why not support your local florist and brighten up your home with a bright Spring time bouquet, or gift to a friend! If you're lucky enough to have your own garden then why not get creative yourself...
Our Thistle Street supervisor, Kirsty, enjoying taking the time to create her own bouquet.
We have lots of little pick me ups available online for you to treat yourself or others and we are happy to post out to anywhere you wish, with a little hand written not to share the joy.
Whether that's a fish shaped bottle opener as let's be honest we will probably be helping ourselves to a drink or two whilst we are spending time at home!
Or maybe you'd like to treat yourself to some stationery so you can keep sharing the love in the old school way, with the post!
Keep smiling everyone!
