How We Do The Edinburgh Festival
Amanda
The people make the fringe fantastic. The buzz of tourists and visitors coming to Edinburgh makes the city come alive and I feel very proud to live here and show off the city to the fullest. 😊

The fringe....whats my favourite thing about the fringe...George Square beer garden and it's selection of street food! go on a rainy evening with your wellies on, it's nice and quiet 😁 but that's our secret to keep!

My favourite thing about the festival has to be the book festival in Charlotte Square, there's always so many interesting talks from authors. Of course I love all the outdoor bars and food trucks too.
Edinburgh International Book Festival runs 10-26th August with over 800 events for all ages.

I love the wide variety of shows to choose from, from dramatic theatre to dance to comedy to art from all over the world and all the wonderful characters that come with them.

I have such fond childhood memories of attending the Edinburgh tattoo at the castle, well worth a visit! If you can get your hands on some tickets...

I just adore the general atmosphere around the Grass Market as it's always lively and jolly. The fact that you are immersed in niche food stalls, mini performances and great pubs make it feel like a mini festival within the fringe.

One of my favourite things at the Fringe are the plays at the Traverse theatre as they're always so diverse in their casting and host very thought-provoking plays. Definitely where I have seen some of my favourite things over the years.

I always look forward to the vibrancy and the fizz of the Edinburgh Festival. My sons are at home this time too so that's an added bonus!
