The Hoxton Edinburgh spans 11 interconnected Georgian townhouses on Grosvenor Street, combining period charm with contemporary style. With 214 guest rooms spread across both sides of the road, the hotel blends right into the classic architecture of the West End — but step inside and you’ll find something very special. Warm wood, deep colour palettes, checkerboard tiles, and soft lighting create a cosy, lived-in vibe that still feels luxurious. The lobby features comfy corners, a show-stopping mural by Verity Woolley, and plenty of nooks for working, lounging, or sipping a cocktail, including an intimate 5 seat cinema. The Hoxton is the kind of space that invites you to stay a little longer.

The Hoxton is known for its design-led, comfort-first rooms — and the Edinburgh location is no exception. All 214 bedrooms reflect the charm of the Haymarket neighbourhood, blending heritage details with modern playfulness. Expect soft fabrics in muted pinks, greens, and creams, original Georgian tiling, mohair headboards, and vintage-style glass chandeliers. Every room has been designed with both style and comfort in mind, with super comfy mattresses, blackout blinds for uninterrupted sleep, and the Hoxton’s own Blank bath and body products. Let's have a closer look at some of the rooms they offer:

Snug Single

Perfect for solo travellers, these small-but-mighty rooms (17–20 sqm) are tucked on the ground floor for easy access. A single bed, beautiful design details, and peace and quiet make this ideal for a city break or quick business trip.

Cosy

Slightly more spacious (14–21 sqm), the Hoxton's Cosy room is perfect for couples or anyone looking for a pampered night's sleep. With a king-size bed and those signature Georgian-meets-modern design details, it's the perfect retreat.

Biggy & Biggy Up

Travelling with a child, or just like lots of space? Go for Biggy or level up to Biggy Up — these rooms offer 26–47 sqm of space to unwind in. Along with a super king bed, many Biggy Up rooms include a sofa, a separate seating area, and plenty of room to settle in like it's home. They're perfect for longer stays or anyone needing a little more room.

Every Hoxton stay comes with Flexy Time — meaning you can check in and out whenever suits you (as long as you book direct 72+ hours in advance), and there's free cancellation up to 2pm the day before arrival. Hoxton Hoxton Hoxton

Patatino: A Taste of Italy in Haymarket

Patatino Food
Patatino Restaurant

Say ciao to Patatino — the Hoxton Edinburgh’s very own trattoria. Named after the Italian word for “little potato,” Patatino is inspired by the lemon groves of Sorrento and long, leisurely meals on the Amalfi Coast.

Patatino has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and a menu that puts fresh produce front and centre. From house-made pastas, sourdough pizzas, small plates, to a few cheeky twists (deep-fried spaghetti, anyone?). Scottish ingredients are celebrated here too, with local flavours making subtle appearances across the Italian classics.

Open all day, it’s just as perfect for a casual breakfast as it is for cocktails and dinner with friends. And if you’re not in the mood for a full meal? Head to the Hoxton lobby bar!

Dog at Bar

Your four-legged friend is just as welcome at The Hoxton, as you are! Guests can bring one dog (under 40lbs) at no extra charge. On arrival, pups receive a warm welcome with a bed, bowls, treats, and a dog tag. There’s even a Hoxton “Mutt Manual” featuring nearby dog-friendly walks and hangouts. Dogs can join you in the lobby and bar areas — just not in the main restaurant. Definitely approved by our shop-dog Stanley!

It’s safe to say we’re already smitten — from the charming rooms and standout design to the Italian magic of Patatino and dog-friendly details, The Hoxton Edinburgh ticks all the right boxes. Whether you’re booking a stay, popping in for a bite, or just curious to explore, we can’t wait to pay a visit!
