Edinburgh Eats

We're always discussing food at Biscuit (might be something to do with our name?!) so here's our pick of the best food places Edinburgh has to offer!

El Cartel on Thistle Street... small and intimate with delicious Mexican food with a twist. Plus it always has a good selection of daily specials. They also now have a second restaurant on Forest Road!

I would live of Pizza if I could and by far my favourite place is Pizzeria 1926 on Dalry road. Always packed out this little gem has an ever changing menu of every topping you can imagine and the Oreo ice cream is incredible if you have room for dessert!

Or for something more special, I love Rollo in Stockbridge for candlelit tapas inspired by dishes from all over the world.

For me it would have to be Kenji Sushi in Stockbridge, it's a great spot for authentic Japanese dining. Sharing platters of salmon sashimi are me and my friends go to... or a fun Bento box for added entertainment,. The seating is little booth and the waiters end up climbing over the top of you.

For me it has to be Henricks in Bruntsfield. Three words haggis Bon Bons! Plus the staff are awesome, we were there the other night for my mum's birthday and the waiter told us not to bother looking at the wine menu as he knew what they had better!

It's got to be Beetroot Sauvage in Newington. Great wholesome food, lovely staff, outdoor eating with occasional markets and a big plus is it is dog friendly.
